Principal’s Message
May 2012
As we enter the month of May, Lincoln Street School begins to plan a variety of transition activities to bid a fond farewell to our fifth graders and to welcome Main Street School’s second graders to third grade at our school. Please note below various transition activities planned over the next several weeks.
May 2 Grade 5-6 Parent Information Night (7-8pm) in the Lincoln Street School
Cafeteria (CMS personnel will be here to discuss the Grade 6 Program)
May 17 Grade 2-3 Parent Information Night (7-8pm) in the Lincoln Street School
Cafeteria (LSS personnel will be present to discuss the Grade 3 Program)
May 22 Grade 5 Move Up Day to CMS (Grade 5 students will visit CMS to learn about the
6th Grade Program.
June 4,6,8 Grade 2 students visit LSS for an orientation, tour and project in a present third grade classroom.

• May 8, 9 and 10 Grade 4 students are administered the state mandated Science testing (NECAPS)
• May 8 PTO sponsored Staff Appreciation Luncheon (Thank you PTO!)
• May 14 Grade 5 Spring Concert 7pm LSS gym
• May 15 PTO Meeting MSS Music Room 7pm
• May 16 Early Release Student Dismissal 12:50
• May 17 Grade 2 Parent Information Night 7-8pm LSS Cafeteria
• May 19 PTO Road Race Registration begins at 7:30 at LSS gym
Fun Runs 8:30 Main Race 9:30
• May 22 Grade 5 Move Up Day to CMS
• May 24 Grade 5 DARE Graduation
• May 31 Integrated Arts Night 6:30-8pm LSS
Lincoln Street School Charitable Donations
Lincoln Street School received a $7,500 Walmart Grant as part of their holiday "Twelve Days of Giving" Program. On February 17th our school provided several cash awards from the grant to local charitable organizations. Organizations receiving awards included Womenade of Greater Squamscott, Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce Children's Fund, St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank and the Cooperative Middle School Outreach Program.
