In adherence to our school’s wellness policy, we ask that food and drink served during the school day positively contribute to the children’s health. Appropriate food choices include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, dairy, and healthy fats, while minimizing saturated fats, sodium, and sugar.
Further, we kindly request that soda and energy drinks not be consumed at school.
SHARED FOOD POLICY: Birthdays, Celebrations, etc.
Due to a large number of students with known food allergies attending Lincoln Street School, please note the following if you are bringing snacks to share with a class, such as for a birthday celebration or holiday party.
If you bring in food for sharing, make sure it is NOT HOMEMADE due to the risk of cross-contamination.
The food should be pre-packaged and labeled with ingredients from the manufacturer.
Call or email the nurse’s office to get the snack pre-approved at least a day before the party/celebration.
